The 2024 Trauma Symposium is taking a step forward to open a new dialogue regarding mental health in our rural area. We are excited to feature a myriad of talented professionals who will offer their expertise on these topics, not only by sharing their personal and professional experiences with our keynote and panel discussions, but also by hosting workshops offering valuable tools regarding trauma informed care, addressing symptoms, suicide prevention, and more.

Approved by Cattaraugus County Emergency Services for Non-Core CME Credit for NYS EMS Providers.

PUBLIC MEETING - COMMUNITY SECTOR ELECTION

The Board of Directors is looking for residents of the community to join the Community Sector of the Board. The Community Sector must represent at least one-third of the Board of Directors. Members must be community residents who are, or who represent, economically disadvantaged and reside in Cattaraugus County.

If it is your desire to run for Community representation upon the Board of Directors of Connecting Communities in Action, plan to attend on June 12, 2024. Please be prepared to provide a 2-3 minute presentation addressing the issues facing the low-income today and why you would be best suited to sit on the Board of Directors and help address those issues. Your name will be added to the ballot, and voting will occur at the conclusion of all presentations.

Any Cattaraugus County resident 18 years or older, and who is present at the Public Meeting, is eligible to vote.

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program assists households behind on their rent that have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 and are at risk of homelessness or housing instability. ERAP is open to households with income between 80 and 120% of the Area Median Income. In addition, the program can provide temporary rental assistance and assistance with unpaid utility bills. This assistance can pay up to 12 months of past due rent and for some households, pay up to 3 months for future rent. The program can also pay for up to 12 months of overdue electric or gas bills. Please note, payments will always be issued directly to the landlord or utility provider.
